Reporting to the Support Services Manager, the Maintenance Worker completes routine maintenance and servicing throughout Extendicare’s long-term care facility. The work covers equipment, furnishings, fixtures, grounds, and facility systems. This position also requires reporting unsafe conditions according to applicable codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repair operations
- Monitor facility areas and complete required repairs
- Document preventative maintenance programs and maintain inventory
- Repair mechanical, plumbing, electrical,



heating, and ventilation systems
- Complete carpentry, redecorating, and grounds maintenance tasks

Requirements:

- Three to five years of relevant experience or knowledge
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and heating systems
- Ability to interpret equipment and system manuals
- Ability to read and write English safely
