The Role

The Senior Payroll Advisor is accountable for the accurate and timely delivery of payroll, including legislated deductions, payroll related payments, payroll accounting, reconciliations, and analytical reporting to support financial and business requirements.

- Execute end to end semi monthly payroll processing for approximately 750 multi provincial Canadian employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance while working collaboratively within the payroll team
- Conduct regular payroll system audits, including master data reviews and workflow approvals,



to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal controls
- Monitor and manage the shared payroll mailbox, providing timely responses to inquiries and resolving payroll issues in accordance with service standards
- Perform full cycle benefits administration, including RRSP-DPSP/TFSA programs and benefits enrollment, partnering with third party vendors
- Manage advantages billing, reconciliation, and variance analysis, resolving discrepancies and ensuring financial accuracy and executive decision making
- Ensure accurate calculation and processing of all payroll deductions, including statutory deductions, garnishments, family support, benefits, and retirement programs
- Prepare and issue Records of Employment, and T2200 forms, while serving as a subject matter expert to resolve complex payroll inquiries and discrepancies
- Partner with employees on maternity and parental leave to review benefit continuance schedules, clarify
