Support youth through trauma-informed care as an onsite Youth Worker with Covenant House Toronto, covering day and evening shifts in a 24/7 operation.

This full time, permanent position serves young people in Resident Services and Winter Respite. You will assess physical and emotional needs, support individualized plans, and provide counseling, crisis intervention, and life-skills development. The work includes collaboration with Case Managers, departments, and community agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess youth needs using a trauma-informed approach
- Support client plans with youth and Case Managers
- Facilitate life-skills and recreational activities
- Provide counseling, crisis support, and behavior management
- Complete case documentation, intakes, and discharges

Requirements:

- Child and youth work degree or equivalent diploma
- Minimum two years' shelter or residential experience
- Knowledge of adolescent development and street-youth issues
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication
