The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine seeks a Solid Waste Manager to oversee facilities, diversion programs, and collection services. You will manage operations, capital, and budgets exceeding $5 million while supervising the Solid Waste team. The position supports secure, efficient service delivery across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee facilities, landfills, transfer stations, and diversion programs
- Manage contracts, operators, compliance, and facility reporting
- Develop service plans and solid waste management strategies




- Prepare Board reports and present solid waste topics
- Supervise staffing, training, performance, and departmental assignments

Requirements:

- Environmental studies diploma or related post-secondary degree
- Five years of related solid waste experience
- Two years of supervisory experience
- Required SWANA or MOLO certification, or commitment
- Class 5 British Columbia driver’s license
