Build production recommendations with Python and cloud platforms at Scribd, Inc. through the versatile Scribd Flex work model and occasional in-person attendance. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will own Fable recommendations and grow into technical leadership for Premium recommendations. You will work across recommender systems, large-scale data processing, online experiments, and production machine learning. The team supports discovery for Everand and Fable, partnering with Orion’s machine learning platform team.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Fable’s migration onto Orion’s recommendation stack
- Extend rankers, feature stores, and embedding retrieval
- Own production quality, latency, cost, and on-call health




- Design and analyze experiments with product partners
- Lead the Premium recommendations technical roadmap

Requirements:
- Five-plus years shipping production machine learning systems
- Production recommender systems experience, including learned ranking
- Large-scale data processing with Spark, Databricks, or BigQuery
- AWS or Google Cloud container deployment experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience Apply machine learning, recommender systems, and technical leadership to improve discovery across Scribd, Everand, and Fable.
