Lead municipal finance in Cornwall with strategic planning, financial reporting, and operational oversight supporting responsible public services. English is essential for this role. The Manager, Financial Services and Deputy Treasurer provides leadership for the City of Cornwall’s financial operations. This position supports statutory responsibilities under the Municipal Act, 2001, and other applicable legislation. Responsibilities include budgets, audits, PSAS reporting, debt, investments, systems, policies, and financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage municipal budgets, reporting, audits, and departmental budget guidance
- Oversee annual audits and consolidated financial statements under PSAS
- Manage debt, investments, liquidity, and regulatory compliance
- Lead financial data analysis,



reporting, and actionable recommendations
- Act for the Treasurer during absences or designation

Requirements:
- Degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or related field
- Chartered Qualified Accountant designation
- Seven years progressive finance experience, preferably municipal or public sector
- Three years of managerial experience
- Financial systems, budgeting software, Microsoft Office, and ERP proficiency Bring municipal finance leadership, PSAS knowledge, and strategic decision-making to Cornwall’s financial operations as Deputy Treasurer.
