Provide phase one and two recovery care as a PACU Registered Nurse at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Apply assessment and critical thinking in perioperative services. This Registered Nurse provides primary care for postoperative patients throughout phase one and two recovery. The practice includes assessment, intervention, education, and patient advocacy. The nurse supports person-centred care and works with the interdisciplinary team while following College of Nurses of Ontario and Ontario Peri-Anesthesia Nurse Association standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess postoperative patients during phase one and two recovery
- Provide interventions, education, and patient advocacy
- Support Sunnybrook’s person-centred care philosophy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Promote patient flow throughout the peri-anesthesia setting

Requirements:
- Minimum two years recent post-surgical care experience
- Recent critical care or PACU experience
- Required Critical Care Course
- Venipuncture and IV Certification
- Current Ontario Registration and BCLS; ACLS preferred Bring postoperative assessment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills to phase one and two recovery at Sunnybrook.
