Build Twilio’s AI/ML foundation remotely from Canada, applying Python and LLM expertise to scalable, enterprise-quality machine learning systems. As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer on Twilio’s AI/ML Platform team, you will shape foundational capabilities powering intelligent engagement experiences. The work spans LLM inference, orchestration, ML systems, and rigorous evaluation tooling. You will bridge research, experimentation, and production software while improving company-wide AI/ML Ops. Key Responsibilities:





Research and implement state-of-the-art LLM inference and orchestration Build machine learning systems operating at Twilio scale Set standards and tooling for AI/ML evaluations Improve management of company-wide LLM workloads Integrate current AI development stacks into engineering workflows Requirements:

8+ years of applied machine learning or artificial intelligence experience Proficiency in Python programming Solid fundamentals in statistical machine learning, transformers, and LLMs Experience with cloud services, high-volume data, and real-time inference Extensive ML Ops and LLM Ops experience Apply staff-level technical leadership to Python, LLM inference, evaluation, and scalable AI/ML platform engineering at Twilio.
