Deliver emergency nursing care at Lakeridge Health Oshawa using patient assessment, cardiac monitoring, and critical thinking skills. Work temporary full time on 12 hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.

The Emergency Registered Nurse reports to ER Managers within the General Emergency program. This practitioner uses nursing processes to provide positive patient care experiences, participates within the Health Care Team and Nursing Team, and maintains competence in current registered nursing practices. The role also includes maintaining nursing records and performing related assigned duties.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide emergency nursing care using established nursing processes
- Maintain competence and professionalism in current registered nursing practices




- Participate as an individual practitioner within nursing teams
- Maintain accurate nursing records
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in valuable standing
- Current B.C.L.S., I.V., and defibrillation certifications
- Proven EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
- Recent Emergency or Critical Care experience preferred
- Patient assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
