Lead Databricks data platforms and Power BI solutions for the City of Vancouver’s Solid Waste division. This regular full time position is based in Vancouver.

The Senior Solid Waste Data Systems Analyst leads data platform governance, development, deployment, and continuous improvement. The work combines data engineering, business intelligence, requirements analysis, and technical application support. Solutions support operational, financial, regulatory, and strategic needs through actionable information.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead Databricks warehouse, pipelines, and analytics solution development
- Design integrations using REST and SOAP APIs
- Create Power BI data products, visualizations, and analysis
- Develop quality assurance and data governance controls




- Present findings to leaders and stakeholders

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology
- At least five years’ related data warehousing and BI experience
- Three years’ user engagement, requirements gathering, and change management experience
- Advanced Power BI, SQL, Python, and data modelling skills
- Experience leading technical staff and data or technology projects
