Support corporate and capital markets lawyers with legal research, precedents, and innovation in a hybrid Canadian office setting. Gowling WLG seeks a Practice Support Lawyer focused on technical quality, knowledge, and client service.

This position supports Corporate Commercial, Funds and Private M&A;, and Capital Markets and Public M&A; groups. The experienced lawyer will collaborate with department and practice leaders, Legal Talent, Knowledge & Practice Support, and A.I. and Innovation teams. Work includes legal updates, training, knowledge assets, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist lawyers with complex legal and procedural issues
- Monitor jurisprudence and legislative and regulatory developments
- Develop precedents, templates, checklists, and knowledge-sharing practices




- Assess technologies using automation, data, and A.I. capabilities
- Design training and prepare client alerts and presentations

Requirements:

- Licensed JD or LLB in good standing
- Significant post-call experience in a global or national law firm
- Expertise in corporate transactions, M&A;, funds, and capital markets
- Solid research, drafting, communication, and presentation skills
- Experience managing knowledge assets and delivering training programs
