We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Technical Specialist 2, Infrastructure to join our IT team in Langley, BC. Reporting to the Manager, IT Infrastructure, you will be responsible for providing advanced infrastructure expertise in the delivery, support and continuous improvement of enterprise technology services.
As a senior technical resource, you will diagnose complex problems, drive issues to resolution, contribute to infrastructure modernization initiatives, and help ensure the reliability, performance and security of critical business systems.
Optimizing the performance, reliability and availability of infrastructure systems and services.
Leading small to medium-size infrastructure projects, including planning, coordination and execution.
Developing and maintaining automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
Providing mentorship and technical guidance to team members, supporting their development and promoting continuous learning through knowledge sharing.
Participating in on-call rotations and leading incident response, troubleshooting and service restoration efforts.
A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT) or equivalent related experience.

- 5+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure roles, including substantive level 2 (Tier 2) support experience resolving complex infrastructure, server, network and system issues.
- Advanced proficiency in two or more infrastructure domains, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Linux operating systems,



virtualization and enterprise storage and backup solutions.
- Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Unix/Linux operating system in enterprise environment, including system performance, patching, security and automation.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python and Bash.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix and Intermapper.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP and firewall technologies.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
- Relevant infrastructure certifications, such as Microsoft, VMware, Hyper-V or Red-Hat/Linux certifications, are considered an asset.
