Advance GNSS and INS positioning technology as a Staff Software Engineer with Garmin in Greater Kansas City or Cochrane, Alberta.

Garmin’s Core Platform Technology team develops positioning solutions across product segments. You will research algorithms, build embedded software, and collaborate across Garmin product categories. The work includes positioning innovation, exploration, and technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

Research advanced positioning technologies and assess technical feasibility

Design, implement, test, and document C/C++ embedded applications

Review software designs, algorithms, and implementations with peers

Provide reliable solutions to complex positioning problems





Mentor less experienced software engineers across methodology and projects

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and fourteen years relevant experience, or equivalent

Robust GNSS measurements, estimation, filtering, and sensor fusion knowledge

Embedded real-time C/C++ software development proficiency

Python, Matlab, or C++ scripting for positioning data analysis

Experience architecting solutions across multiple groups or disciplines

Apply GNSS algorithms, embedded C/C++, research, and mentoring expertise to Garmin’s advanced positioning technology programs.
