Bizbie is a community-focused directory and social marketplace that helps people discover and support independently owned businesses in their community. Every recommendation on Bizbie is tied to a completed booking or purchase, so what people see comes from customers who actually bought, not anonymous reviews or paid placements. Discovery is shaped by community activity and distance, giving smaller businesses a fair chance to be found by the people around them. Bizbie is an Alberta company launching in Canada.

Role Description

BizReps are the people behind Bizbie in each community. This is a remote, commission-based independent contractor role for people in Edmonton and area who know the businesses around them and enjoy helping owners succeed.

As a BizRep, you will:

- Introduce Bizbie to independently owned businesses in your community and help them sign up
- Verify each business you bring on, including the owner's ID and business documents, using Bizbie's verification steps
- Review profiles and listings for accuracy and quality before they go live
- Be the main point of contact for your businesses,



before and after they launch
- Respond to your businesses within 48 hours
- Describe Bizbie's features and pricing accurately, using Bizbie's current materials

How you earn

- Commission on the monthly profile fees your businesses pay, and on the service fees from customer purchases at those businesses
- Paid monthly. You choose your own hours.

Qualifications

- You know your community and enjoy talking with business owners
- Comfortable starting conversations in person, by phone and online
- Organized and reliable, with solid follow-through
- Clear, friendly written and verbal communication
- Comfortable handling personal information with care and confidentiality
- Comfortable using apps, email and online tools
- Sales, customer service, small business or community experience is a plus
- Must live in Edmonton or the surrounding area
- As an independent contractor, you're responsible for your own taxes.
