Build desktop engineering experience with Canada Life in a temporary full-time student placement supporting endpoint management and security. Work locations include London, Toronto, and Winnipeg.

This four-month Junior Desktop Engineering Specialist placement runs from January through April. You will support desktop services within the Infrastructure and Operations Desktop Engineering team. The work includes Windows, Microsoft Office 365, Intune, MECM, Azure, Group Policy, and virtual environments. You will also gain exposure to automation, security compliance, and agile delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, configure, update, and deploy desktop hardware and software
- Maintain endpoint platforms, servers, infrastructure, and related services
- Troubleshoot desktop and virtual machine incidents and requests
- Assist with patching, endpoint security,



and licensing compliance
- Participate in agile ceremonies and track work with tools

Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in second year or higher post-secondary studies
- Studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline
- Foundational knowledge of Windows, Office 365, Active Directory, Intune, SCCM, and Azure
- Understanding of desktop security and networking concepts
- Solid communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
