Build diesel mechanic experience with Ryder as a full-time Technician Trainee in the Greater Toronto Area. Develop hands-on fleet maintenance skills through structured training.

This developmental position introduces recent employees to technician work while serving as Service Employees. You will receive mentor-led shop experience through Ryder's 18-month Technical Training Developmental Program. Training covers inspections, fueling, preventive maintenance, tires, wheels, electrical systems, and brakes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Move heavy-duty vehicles around yards, shops, and wash bays
- Wash, detail, fuel, and inspect commercial vehicles
- Record fuel activity and maintain fuel inventories
- Complete minor maintenance and facility tasks
- Attend training,



complete assessments, and perform learned tasks

Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED
- Zero to one year of related work experience preferred
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills preferred
- Beginner knowledge of machines, tools, repair, and maintenance required
- English communication, customer service, teamwork, and accountability skills

Develop technician capabilities through Ryder's mentor-supported program, gaining experience with diesel vehicles, inspections, maintenance, and shop operations.
