Support meaningful resident activities as a Recreation Aide with West Coast Seniors Housing Management, using program planning and interpersonal skills. Work respectfully with residents and staff.

Reporting to the Therapeutic Recreation Manager, Recreation Manager, or designate, you will assist with recreation and leisure services. The work includes researching, developing, implementing, and evaluating programs for residents’ holistic needs and interests. You will help maintain resident rights, dignity, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Promote and carry out outings, exercises, crafts, and games
- Assist with monthly calendars and newsletters
- Coordinate external groups providing in-house programs
- Port residents to and from programs when required
- Observe, document, and report resident changes

Requirements:

- Grade 12 education
- Two-year Recreation diploma or equivalent qualification
- Serving It Right Certificate
- Valid unrestricted Class 4 BC Driver’s License
- Basic Word, Publisher, and Outlook computer skills
