Support psychiatric nursing care at WRHN @ Midtown in Kitchener, applying mental health expertise within an interdisciplinary team. This temporary full time ONA assignment runs until approximately February 19, 2027.

As a Registered Nurse, you will care for individuals experiencing psychiatric and mental health problems, including severe mental illness and psychosocial crisis. The position requires current College of Nurses of Ontario registration, mental health and addictions nursing experience, and strong biopsychosocial assessment skills. Full paid orientation is provided, with educational support available.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide psychiatric and mental health nursing care
- Support patients experiencing severe mental illness
- Manage care during psychosocial crises
- Complete assessments, care plans,



and outcome evaluations
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams

Requirements:

- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Two to five years’ mental health and addictions nursing experience
- Knowledge of psychiatric emergencies and psychosocial interventions
- Experience administering or monitoring psychotropic medications
- Advanced de-escalation, Code White training, and Basic Rescuer CPR
