What You'll Be Doing

As a Security Guard, you will maintain safety and security across the hospital facility through proactive involvement and supportive care. Your daily responsibilities will include:

Conducting routine interior and exterior patrols of hospital buildings and grounds.

Responding promptly and professionally to security calls and emergency incidents.

Providing compassionate customer service to patients, visitors, and staff during high-stress situations.

Assisting staff and visitors with security escorts and basic motor vehicle support when required.

Supporting physical restraint and Use of Force procedures as directed under the Mental Health Act.

Completing detailed shift logs, incident reports, and notebook entries in a timely manner.

Managing administrative tasks such as key distribution, ID badge issuance, lost and found, and CCTV reviews.

Must Haves

Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved provider.

High School Diploma or GED.





Up-to-date immunization records (COVID-19, Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, and 2-step TB skin test).

Willingness to complete N95 mask fit testing during onboarding training.

Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB), or willingness to participate in Paladin's pre-employment training program prior to start.

Solid written and spoken English communication skills.

Physical ability to walk, stand, and complete active patrols throughout extended shifts.

Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Nice-to-Haves

Minimum 1 year of security guard experience in a healthcare setting.

Educational background in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services.
