Build business law experience with EIC through legal research and contract analysis in Montreal, Toronto, or Vancouver. Support international activities under supervision.

As a Business Law Intern, you will prepare legal research and contract materials for EIC operational teams. You will study business or contract law while developing memo writing, issue spotting, monitoring, and legal coordination skills. Work progresses with supervisor feedback and approval procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Research business law questions raised by operational teams
- Help prepare and review contract drafts under supervision
- Draft memos summarizing provisions and review points
- Track legal developments, versions, deadlines, and approvals




- Identify contractual concerns and refer them appropriately

Requirements:

- Currently studying law, ideally business or contract law
- Understanding of legal research methods and memo writing
- Ability to identify jurisdiction and analysis limits
- Discreet, accurate work respecting approval procedures
- English communication; French is an asset

Develop supervised contract analysis, legal research, and coordination experience while supporting EIC’s international business activities.
