Teach MS/HS Physical Education at Memphis Rise Academy while planning daily lessons and assessing student learning in a school setting. This temporary full time assignment is projected from November 1, 2026, through March 12, 2027.

The Physical Education Teacher prepares middle and high school students for post-high-school success through daily elective instruction. The work includes classroom management, assessment cycles, grading, data entry, and collaboration with Leadership Team members and support staff. The teacher also implements IEP, ESL ILP, and 504 accommodations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and execute daily physical education elective lessons
- Assess students and manage grading and assessment data entry
- Maintain structured classrooms aligned with Memphis Rise Academy values
- Implement IEP,



ESL ILP, and 504 modifications
- Communicate student progress through weekly Rise Reports

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree required for instructional positions
- Valid Tennessee teaching license with necessary endorsements
- Or enrollment in a confirmed job-embedded Educator Preparation Program
- Flexibility, creativity, and an asset-based mindset
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds seldom
