Lead STEAM workshops at Science World while supervising elementary-aged campers in a temporary part-time position with seasonal availability.

Science Camp Leaders deliver year-round programs and Stay & Play sessions for elementary school-aged students. You will work with Camps In Charges, a co-leader, and youth volunteers while facilitating gallery visits, shows, demonstrations, and activities. The position supports Science World’s Science for All purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver themed workshops, science activities, demonstrations, and group games
- Supervise groups of up to 20 campers with team support
- Explain scientific concepts clearly and concisely
- Communicate with caregivers about campers’ program experiences
- Enforce safety rules and manage minor welfare concerns

Requirements:

- Solid interest and understanding of science
- Experience supervising children, preferably in camp settings
- Knowledge of elementary-aged children and caregivers
- Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check completion
