Read blueprints and shape materials as a Carpenter in Thorold, performing construction, installation, renovation, and repair work. This is a full time unionized position.

Under the Manager of Facilities Services, you will support Facilities Services and Maintenance across Board-operated buildings. Duties include carpentry, structural repairs, general maintenance, flooring, drywall, concrete, and grounds work. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the NCDSB Maintenance Shop.

Key Responsibilities:

- Read blueprints and determine required materials and installation procedures
- Cut, shape, assemble, and finish carpentry materials
- Install cabinets, handrails, doors, windows, flooring, and drywall
- Repair structures, coverings,



fixtures, roofs, and building hardware
- Perform concrete, grounds, weather-stripping, and general maintenance work

Requirements:

- Grade 12 high school diploma
- Valid Carpenter C of Q 403A
- Valid Class G Driver's License
- Directly related facilities maintenance or construction experience
- Ability to read blueprints and understand building codes
