Learn drilling and blasting with Dyno Nobel in a full-time position, supporting local operations through secure, supervised blast-site work.

As a Blasting Apprentice, you will participate in all facets of the drilling and blasting trade. You will perform duties under a blaster in charge while following blasting safety regulations. The work includes blast design support, hazard assessments, equipment checks, inventory, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Measure, load, stem, and hook up blast holes
- Assist with blast design and drill pattern layouts
- Support hazard assessments and secure blast sites
- Maintain explosive and non-explosive product inventories
- Follow federal, provincial, and company safety requirements

Requirements:

- High school completion preferred with related training
- Willingness to enroll with Apprenticeship Nova Scotia
- Basic computer skills for blasting logs and training
- Positive, professional, and courteous attitude
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 25 kilograms
