Build switchgear units at Powell’s Electrical Division Edmonton location using mechanical assembly skills, drawings, instructions, and hand tools. This permanent role supports manufacturing.

The Assembler reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor in the Switchgear Assembly department. You will assemble electrical units, switchgear, and other Powell products while following standard work instructions. The work requires quality awareness, safety participation, organized work areas, and effective collaboration with other departments. Previous switchgear experience is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build mechanical components for Switchgear units
- Assemble units according to drawings and instructions




- Repair identified Switchgear discrepancies
- Attend safety meetings and promote safety culture
- Maintain clean, organized work areas

Requirements:

- High School Diploma required
- Zero to three years manufacturing experience
- Read tape measurements and unit conversions
- Use hand tools and power tools repeatedly
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
