Mental Health Crisis Support Workers provide trauma-informed care in a short-term emergency setting, supporting clients through acute mental health and substance use challenges. This role includes mixed overnight, day, evening, and weekend shifts.

At EHN Canada, the Mental Health & Addiction Support Worker provides frontline support for individuals experiencing complex needs. You will focus on stabilization, safety, rapid engagement, and respectful client care. The position involves crisis intervention, overdose response, documentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and triage current intakes with safety-focused support
• Provide emotional support, crisis intervention, and nonjudgmental listening
• Monitor mental health and substance use crises, including overdoses

• Coordinate client support with nursing, security, and shelter personnel

Requirements:

• Diploma, degree, or equivalent experience in a related field
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care practices
• Experience supporting homelessness, addiction, and mental health concerns
• Calm, effective crisis response abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
