We are seeking a temporary, part-time Page at the ClearwaterLibrary who will create a welcoming setting and a superb library experience for all.
Reporting to the Branch Head, thisposition ensures that materials are on the shelves for patrons and staff to find. The Page helps direct patrons to the materials they want, and provides excellent customer service. Other duties include tidying, preparation of displays and programs, checking in/out library materials, and packing/unpacking shipments. Other responsibilities include cleaning and minor preparation of routine displays of library material, clearing abandoned material from public areas, answering directional questions and referring information questions to appropriate staff, photocopying materials, and checking in/out library materials. The Page also interacts with the public and may occasionally deal with challenging situations.There is also a physical component to this position.

Job Requirements
- Grade 10or General Education Development Diploma(GED);
- Customer service experience and apassion for helping others;
- Abelief in the importance of literacy;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and diffuse difficult patron situations;
- Basic computer skills; and
- Ability to lift 20-25 lbs.
The position is subject to the provisions of the Collective Agreement with the BC General Employees' Union, Local 705.
The TNRD requires that all successful applicants undergo a Criminal Record Check.
Salary Grade
The Page position is a Pay Grid Level 3 which is $17.97 - $21.27/hour.
- Non-benefitted staff receive 18.2%-21.2% in lieu ofannual vacation, statutory holidays, sick leave, and benefits as per Article 25.8.
