Support acute medicine patients at North Bay Regional Health Centre’s Alternate Health Facility using patient-centred care and critical thinking. Bilingual English and French skills are required.

As a Personal Support Worker, you will care for patients whose acute needs are met while they transition toward further services. You will work with physicians, nurses, dietary services, environmental services, and Infection Prevention and Control support. The 40-bed AHF provides transitional or alternative destinations of care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide care to medical patients with varying support needs
- Engage patients in meaningful activities
- Apply adaptable, patient-centred approaches to care
- Collaborate with the interprofessional health team




- Support safety and prevention of adverse health events

Requirements:

- Personal Support Worker or HealthCare Aide Certificate
- Current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers Certificate
- Required dementia, pharmacotherapy, falls, mobility, and delirium training
- De-escalation techniques and basic computer skills
- Advanced English and French bilingualism required
