Support resident wellbeing at AgeCare by planning meaningful recreation activities and developing relationships, personal connections, and community participation. Work directly with seniors.

The Recreation Worker plans, develops, and runs recreation and leisure pursuits for residents. Activities promote purpose, creativity, lifelong learning, fun, and a sense of community. You will facilitate planned and spontaneous opportunities that maintain resident skills, knowledge, and connections.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and implement daily recreation and leisure activities
- Facilitate activities in the home and community
- Create engaging environments supporting resident participation
- Document changes in residents’ activity participation




- Evaluate recreation programs and quality improvement processes

Requirements:

- Prior experience working with seniors preferred
- Long-term care experience preferred
- Post-secondary recreation or therapeutic recreation education
- Health care education with recreation service experience
- Knowledge of assessment, care planning, and documentation
