Design meaningful recreation programs as an Activation Aide at Oakwood Commons Community, using resident interests, abilities, and compassionate support.

Reporting to the Director of Resident Programs, this Activation Aide supports resident-centered programming within Sienna Senior Living Long Term Care. You will prepare activities that provide physical, cognitive, and emotional enjoyment while building relationships with residents and families. The position also supports resident participation, social engagement, and program records.

Key Responsibilities:

- Contribute to developing and refining recreation programs and initiatives
- Prepare daily activities for physical, cognitive, and emotional enjoyment
- Assess residents' interests, needs, and progress with support




- Maintain accurate program and resident participation records
- Lead activities and special events fostering resident interaction

Requirements:

- Relevant recreation, leisure, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, or gerontology education
- Equivalent experience working with seniors may be considered
- Experience working with seniors and understanding motivation concepts
- Understanding of leisure principles
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada and required checks
