ABOUT THE ROLELocation: VancouverStatus: Full-timeCompensation: $34:00/ hrPosition Summary:The Kith Security Lead acts in partnership with the Head of Security and/or the General Manager on overall security responsibilities. The Security Lead is imperative in the daily functions of the store’s retail operations. The individual is professional, aware, and detail oriented within the retail space. Ensuring the safety of store staff and customers through diligent monitoring of the sales floor and entrance(s). Continuously contributes to the seamless operations of the store by managing any lines that form outside the store and helping in the execution of any product releases.RESPONSIBILITIESPrimary Responsibilities:Monitor entrance(s) of store, while managing traffic in and out of the storeCheck employee coats and bags upon entry & exitHandles undesired conduct, violations of building policy and civil laws as warranted for the security and safety of guests, employees, patrons, and propertyObserve sales floor for potential theft and fraudProvides supervisory level support to Head of Security and/or General Manager, in overall management of both in-house and third-party security guardsPerform other duties as assignedManage any lines/crowds that form outside of the storeProvide support to both guests and team members in any safety, crowd management or crisis response situationsEnsure the store is compliant with any building/city/state or federal ordinance regarding crowds inside and outside of the storeAssist store management team with housekeeping responsibilities including but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, collection of trash,



and other tasks traditionally associated with standard retail operations.Special Projects/Tasks:Assist in the execution of any in-store product releases, by managing and monitoring of crowds/lines formed prior and during regular store operating hoursFollow the direction of Head of Security or General Manager in any emergency situationsREQUIREMENTSAvailability:Open & flexible availability, including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as Holidays.Availability to consistently work weekends, special projects, drops/releases or as the business’ needs require.Licenses/Certificates:Valid State Security Guard License/Certificate, or Guard Card is requiredExperience:2-3 years as Security2-3 years in Loss Prevention preferred but not required1-3 years in a customer facing environment1+ years in a Retail/Apparel environmentSkills/Abilities:Effective communication with both internal and external customersCrowd managementAbility to stand for prolonged periods of timeAbility to de-escalate conflictsAbility to lift and move 25lbs.Ability to perform standard tasks that are related to retail operations including but not limited to, bending, twisting,
