Apply civil engineering concepts as a Geotechnical Engineering Summer Student with Stantec in Winnipeg, supporting field and project work. Build practical experience through technical tasks alongside experienced practitioners and clients.
This temporary, full time internship supports Stantec’s Winnipeg and Saskatoon geotechnical groups. You may perform calculations, field work, contract administration, proposal preparation, research, and basic reporting. Software work can include Word, Excel, gINT, GeoStudio, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Bentley MicroStation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support engineers and technologists within the geotechnical group
- Perform geotechnical calculations and field work
- Prepare proposals, quotes, reports, and design criteria
- Use software to assist with drawing preparation
- Research projects and provide background information
Requirements:
- Complete second, third, or fourth year of accredited Canadian engineering program
- Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or greater
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Communicate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Work overtime, weekends, or out of town as required
