Care for animals in Williams Lake, BC as a part-time Animal Care Attendant supporting daily welfare, enrichment, and clean shelter operations. Various shifts require weekday, weekend, and holiday flexibility.

Reporting to the Animal Centre Manager, you will provide daily care according to the Five Freedoms and ShelterSense protocols. Duties include feeding, watering, exercising, grooming, monitoring, and documenting animal welfare. The position also requires compassionate handling, customer service, and collaborative work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain the physical plant clean, sanitary, and effective
- Keep kennels, runs, and cat cages suitable for animal welfare
- Record health information on kennel cards, whiteboards, and logs
- Provide feeding, watering,



exercise, and enrichment
- Perform general bathing and grooming of animals

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class N or 5 BC driver’s license and abstract
- Knowledge of animal breeds, characteristics, and common diseases
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and maintain fitness
- Flexibility for weekdays, weekends, and statutory holidays
