The Nova Scotia Department of Public Works is hiring spare operators for Spry Bay, Middle Musquodoboit, and Chezzetcook. You will train in snow and ice control operations, complete paid plowing experience, and support winter road safety across Zones 12, 13, and 17.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete equipment maintenance and pre-and-post trip inspections
• Maintain daily logs and inspection reports
• Perform road surface repairs and traffic control
• Maintain signs as operational needs require

Requirements:

• Two years of experience or acceptable equivalent qualifications
• Minimum Class III licence with air brake endorsement
• Reading and writing skills for department documentation
• Flexibility and self-motivation in all weather conditions
• Comfort working near traffic and environmental hazards
