Keep kitchens sanitary at the University of King' in Halifax through dishwashing, equipment care, and detailed food-service cleaning.

As a Dishwasher, you will clean assigned dishware and maintain orderly kitchen work areas. Your duties include sanitation, silver polishing, surface cleaning, waste removal, and supply transfers. Casual hours are available from May through August.

Key Responsibilities:

- Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, trays, and utensils
- Polish silver using assigned machines, chemicals, and hand cloths
- Maintain clean, functional equipment meeting safety standards
- Wash food preparation surfaces, refrigerators, walls, and worktables
- Remove trash and steam clean or hose garbage cans

Requirements:

- Previous dishwashing experience preferred, but not required
- Industrial washing machine experience preferred
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties
- Reliability and willingness to work casual summer hours
