The Lifeguard supports pool, whirlpool, and pool-deck safety at Brampton McLaughlin Corners West. This position monitors Aqua Group Fitness classes and Family Swim, enforces pool rules, and provides emergency care until medical services arrive. It also includes water chemistry testing, light cleaning, and paperwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor members and guests throughout pool areas
- Respond immediately and appropriately during emergencies
- Provide emergency care until medical services arrive
- Enforce pool rules fairly and explain rationale
- Test water chemistry and report facility deficiencies
Requirements:
- Six months to one year of related experience
- Current National Lifeguard Service’s Lifeguard Certificate
- CPR-C included and dated within two years
- Basic understanding of pool operation and water chemistry
- Calm emergency response and customer-focused interpersonal skills
