Lead compliant pipeline licensing applications at Cenovus while applying regulatory expertise, technical review, and guidance across Alberta-focused energy assets.
The Senior Regulatory Advisor supports pipeline and facility licensing across the full asset lifecycle. You will prepare applications, review requirements, interpret ambiguity, and advise internal and external stakeholders. The work includes mentorship, coaching, regulatory monitoring, and special projects involving multiple deadlines.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare compliant pipeline and facility license applications
Complete technical reviews and compile audit documentation
Interpret regulatory requirements and recommend informed decisions
Monitor regulatory changes and advise on implementation




Lead special regulatory projects and initiatives
Requirements: Eight or more years’ Alberta licensing experience
Post-secondary education in engineering, environment, or related field
Understanding of AER DDS and OneStop systems
Experience with Accumap, Abadata, Petrinex, SharePoint, Spotfire, and Power BI
Solid analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Apply pipeline licensing, regulatory interpretation, and stakeholder guidance expertise while supporting Cenovus’s compliant energy operations.
