As a backend engineer on the API Platform team, you will design, implement, and operate mission-critical interfaces. Your work spans distributed systems, API gateways, routing, performance optimization, and agent orchestration. You will help define technical strategy as customer and compute demands grow.
Key Responsibilities: Design and operate APIs delivering building blocks for frontier intelligence
Evolve gateway authentication, authorization, quotas, and request routing
Optimize upstream systems for low latency and high throughput
Operate SLOs, on-call responsibilities, and incident response
Collaborate on compute, networking, secrets, and security
Requirements: Five-plus years of backend engineering experience
Proficiency with Python, Go, or Rust
Experience building platforms used by engineering teams
Robust knowledge of API design and performance tuning
Experience operating gateways, proxies, or routing layers
