Lead HVAC and district energy engineering for WSP across Ontario from Northern Ontario, with a hybrid work arrangement and technical leadership responsibilities.
As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will deliver complex projects involving heating, cooling, ventilation, central plants, and district energy systems. You will guide engineers, EITs, and designers while supporting sustainable building infrastructure. The work spans commercial, institutional, residential, and industrial projects across Ontario.
Key Responsibilities: Lead complex HVAC and district energy engineering project delivery
Design heating, cooling, ventilation, and central energy systems
Perform load calculations, analyses, equipment selection, and system sizing




Provide technical oversight for code-compliant project delivery
Manage scope, schedules, budgets, and client expectations
Requirements: Skilled Engineer designation with active PEO registration
Extensive mechanical engineering experience with HVAC expertise
Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, CSA, and ASHRAE standards
Proficiency using AutoCAD and Revit
Willingness to conduct site visits and field investigations
Bring mechanical leadership, HVAC expertise, and district energy experience to WSP’s sustainable engineering projects across Ontario.
