Reporting to the CEO, this autonomous manager oversees the Corporate Safety Program and departmental execution. The position leads the Health & Safety team, partners with Operations and business leaders, and drives improvement beyond compliance. Responsibilities span planning, resources, performance, and field support.
Key Responsibilities: Lead, coach, and develop the Health & Safety team
Develop annual safety strategies and departmental plans
Monitor trends, risks, and safety performance
Oversee audits, inspections, investigations, and regulatory compliance




Maintain field presence and support corrective actions
Requirements: 10+ years of progressive Health & Safety experience
5+ years in construction or heavy civil environments
Leadership experience developing teams and managing performance
Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation and WCB
CRSP and/or NCSO designation preferred
Bring field-based safety leadership, regulatory knowledge, and construction experience to Carmacks Enterprises’ Western Canada operations.
