Lead design management for $100m-plus ICI projects in Toronto, using design strategy, compliance, and risk management expertise. This full time permanent role oversees complex project development.
Reporting to the Design Services Director, the Senior Design Manager contributes to major building projects and the Pre-Construction process. You will guide design philosophy, manage Consultant teams, and support cost-effective solutions. The position requires coordination with owners, stakeholders, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities: Lead design management across major ICI projects
Develop initial strategy and overarching design philosophy
Identify, manage, and mitigate design risks
Monitor Consultant deliverables, compliance, and contractual obligations
Manage Engineering Services During Construction processes
Requirements: Degree in Engineering or Architecture
15-plus years of construction experience
Design-build procurement experience preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and BIM software tools
Working knowledge of Navisworks and REVIT
