This Lead Mechanical Design Engineer position focuses on renewable energy components and complex mechanical systems. You will guide projects from concept through detailed engineering while applying CAD modeling, structural analysis, thermal analysis, and fatigue analysis. The work supports robust, reliable, cost-effective designs for wind and solar applications.
Key Responsibilities: Lead mechanical design for wind turbine and solar systems
Create detailed CAD models, drawings, and documentation
Perform structural, thermal, and fatigue analyses
Optimize designs for manufacturing, cost,



and reliability
Develop testing and validation plans for recent designs
Requirements: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
At least eight years' mechanical design experience
Renewable energy systems or complex machinery experience
Expertise with SolidWorks, Inventor, ANSYS, or NASTRAN
Strong materials science and manufacturing process understanding
Lead renewable energy mechanical design remotely while applying CAD, analysis, testing, and optimization expertise across South Africa.
