Lead construction accounting and financial reporting as a Corporate Controller serving a growing organization in Ottawa East on a full time, permanent basis.
This Corporate Controller oversees Accounting and Human Resources activities within a medium-to-large organization. The position requires construction industry experience, project-focused knowledge, and leadership of an accounting team. You will support compliance, costing, forecasting, audits, and financial communication.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee Accounting and Human Resources team accuracy and timely submissions
Evaluate WIP, prepaids, accruals, assets, holdbacks, and aging
Oversee contract compliance, project setup, billing, costing, and taxes
Coordinate budgets, forecasts, planning controls, and variance analysis




Prepare month-end and year-end closings and audit reporting
Requirements: CPA designation or pursuit of CPA designation
Construction industry experience, ideally commercial project-focused experience
Seven-plus accounting and finance years in a similar role
Two-plus years leading an accounting team
Strong English communication, problem-solving, organization, and interpersonal skills
