Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to prepare municipal designs and estimates with the City of Greater Sudbury in a hybrid work arrangement.

As an Engineering Technician II in Design Services, you will support less complex roads, storm, sanitary, and water projects. Prepare drawings, quantity estimates, cost estimates, and quotation or tender documents. The position reports to the Manager of Design Services and includes in office work at least three days weekly.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop designs and cost estimates for municipal infrastructure projects
- Prepare base plans, contract drawings, and updated as-builts
- Prepare quotation and tender documents for engineering projects
- Complete pre-engineering requirements, including surveys and utility relocations




- Review drawings for adequate data and drafting requirements

Requirements:

- Related Canadian-accredited community college diploma
- Two and one-half to five years of related experience
- Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D required
- Knowledge of surveying and municipal engineering practices
- Valid driver’s licence and acceptable driving record
