HITACHI ENERGY CANADA INC. seeks an HSSE Manager for full-time, onsite work supporting a new manufacturing facility. The role leads local HSSE development while partnering with project, construction, and site leadership. Its focus includes operational readiness, compliance, ISO systems, investigations, audits, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop the HSSE team through facility startup
Establish strategy for risk reduction and serious injury prevention
Integrate safety and environmental considerations into design reviews
Lead investigations, audits, inspections,



and corrective actions
Implement ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
Minimum eight years of progressive HSSE experience
Leadership experience developing and leading teams
Experience with capital projects, construction, commissioning, or startup
Knowledge of occupational safety, environmental compliance, and risk management
