This full time temporary position runs three months with eight-hour day shifts. You will perform clerical activities for registration, booking, and check-in while supporting inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services. The work requires medical terminology, accurate data entry, and professional communication.
Key Responsibilities: Register patients and document information for hospital use
Complete pre-registration and verify patient data
Update patient demographics as required
Triage telephone calls and inquiries appropriately
Manage confidential information sensitively and professionally
Requirements: OSSD or equivalent qualification
Working knowledge of Cerner registration and scheduling
Medical terminology knowledge
Accurate typing skills of minimum 40 words per minute
Microsoft Office proficiency including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Bring registration, scheduling, communication, and data entry skills to patient access services at North York General’s General site.
