This contract-to-hire Mechanical Engineer role covers industrial equipment, automation systems, and mechanical systems used in radioactive and nuclear environments. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams while coordinating projects, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting international field work. The work spans design, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation.
Key Responsibilities: Design conveyor systems, automation cells, assemblies, and mechanical subsystems
Create and refine CAD models, assemblies, drawings, and documentation
Coordinate project activities and support engineering deliverables
Troubleshoot mechanical issues during onsite and offsite field work
Oversee installation, commissioning, and mechanical system performance
Requirements: Proven mechanical design engineering experience
Proficiency with SolidWorks or comparable three-dimensional CAD tools
Hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and real-time problem-solving experience
Ability to lead smaller subsystem designs through validation
Willingness to complete training for radioactive and nuclear environments
