This full-time, permanent Specialist Orthoptist post supports a developing Orthoptist across three hospitals. The service covers core Orthoptic, Optometry, and Paediatric Ophthalmology clinics, alongside glaucoma, medical retina, emergency, cornea, and neuro-ophthalmology. Clinical and non-clinical development is actively encouraged.
Key Responsibilities: Provide face-to-face and virtual orthoptic activity
Support core Orthoptic, Optometry, and Paediatric Ophthalmology clinics
Contribute across glaucoma and medical retina subspecialties
Support emergency, cornea, and neuro-ophthalmology services




Teach undergraduate and postgraduate Orthoptic students

Ability to work across three hospital sites
Interest in clinical and non-clinical development
Ability to contribute within a multidisciplinary workforce
Willingness to support healthcare workforce teaching
