The Unit Manager leads Inpatient Unit 1 within the Hematology/Oncology/Blood and Marrow Transplant Program. This manager oversees human, financial, and physical resources while supporting safe, high-quality care. The position works with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and operational leaders across Child Health.
Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and operational support
Oversee staffing, workflow, and resource allocation
Support recruitment, performance management, and staff development
Advance quality and process improvement initiatives




Coach and mentor staff through visible leadership
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related discipline
Current registration with the governing health discipline body
Minimum five years of acute healthcare experience within ten years
Previous leadership experience
Strong communication, organization, and conflict resolution skills
Bring pediatric leadership, critical decision-making, and team-oriented care expertise to Alberta Children’s Hospital’s Hematology/Oncology/BMT unit.
