Support independent living in Smithers as a Community Health Worker II, providing home support and daily living assistance to clients.
Under Northern Health supervision, you will follow pre-established care plans and promote client well-being in the community. Duties include bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, meal planning, and meal preparation. You will also perform delegated tasks after completing required training.
Key Responsibilities: Provide home support services according to established care plans
Assist clients with bathing, grooming, and oral hygiene
Plan and prepare meals while promoting independence
Perform delegated tasks after completing required training
Support individuals and families in community living
Requirements: Current registration with the BC Care Aide Registry
Recognized Home Support Attendant or Resident Care Aid graduation
Valid Class 5 British Columbia driver’s license
Current CPR, First Aid, and Food Secure certificates
Personal vehicle and physical ability to perform duties
Bring client rapport, observation, communication, and home management skills to Northern Health’s community-based care in Smithers.
